Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform General Ledger, Reporting, and Controlling activities for assigned legal entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality execution.
- Coordinate, oversee and perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing cycles across sub-ledgers (e.g. AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Leasing, Cash Pool Accounting, Equity), resolving complex issues and ensuring data integrity.
- Review and perform journal entries in ERP systems (SAP and others), reconciliations, and financial adjustments, providing expert guidance on complex accounting treatments to ensure correctness, completeness, and documentation support.
- Conduct advanced P&L and Balance Sheet analyses, identify risks or variances, perform reclassifications and adjustments if needed and present insights to senior finance management.
- Ensure strong internal control governance, drive process standardization and automation, and act as process owner for GL and reporting workflows.

- Collaborate closely with legal entity finance teams, Controllers, and cross-functional departments, acting as a senior contributor and advisor on complex accounting and reporting matters.
- Partner with divisional and corporate Finance leadership to support decision-making, process alignment, and implementation of group-wide initiatives.
- Coordinate with process owners, IT teams, and shared service stakeholders to drive improvements, resolve issues, and ensure end-to-end process consistency.
- Lead and participate to discussions with internal and external auditors on advanced accounting treatments, key judgment areas, and audit findings.
- Represent the GL/Reporting function in cross-functional forums, ensuring transparency, alignment, and proactive communication across the organization.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced Accounting
- Certifications are a strong advantage.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in General Ledger, Reporting, or Controlling roles within an international corporate environment.
- Proven expertise in applying IFRS and/or local GAAP to complex accounting scenarios and in supporting multi-entity financial operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead closing cycles, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and manage cross-functional accounting initiatives.
- Solid track record of supporting audits, improving processes, and working effectively within a shared services or corporate finance structure.
- Advanced SAP (FI/CO) expertise with the ability to troubleshoot issues, propose system improvements, and guide others in complex transactions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions, Power Query/Pivot) and familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI).
- Deep understanding of IFRS and local GAAP application to judgmental areas, combined with strong analytical capabilities for variance and trend analysis.
- Solid knowledge of internal control frameworks and experience ensuring control design, documentation, and remediation.
- Ability to drive process optimization and automation initiatives, leveraging ERP capabilities, workflow tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- English and German business level is mandatory.
- Strong ownership, integrity, and professional judgment, with the ability to independently resolve complex accounting topics.
- Excellent prioritization, organization, and time‑management skills, ensuring reliability in demanding closing cycles.
- Clear and confident communication skills, able to explain complex financial matters to non‑experts and senior stakeholders.
- Leadership mindset with the ability to guide, coach, and influence others without formal authority.
- Proactive, improvement‑oriented approach, demonstrating initiative, collaboration, and a solutions-driven attitude.
