Who we are looking for

The Portfolio Solutions Sales Vice President (VP) will be responsible for originating and sourcing new business across the full range of Portfolio Solutions Products in addition to the broader suite of State Street Markets products and services.  The candidate will be responsible for covering existing clients and prospecting for new clients for the firm’s Global Sales and Trading, Electronic Trading, Outsourced Trading and Currency Management business.

What you will be responsible for

As Portfolio Solutions Sales VP, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Growing our global sales and trading business by creating a pipeline of clients through prospecting, relationship management, referrals and cross-selling.
  • Originate new electronic, cash equity and outsourced trading capabilities to asset managers and asset owners.
  • Originate new fixed Income and derivatives opportunities.
  • Grow our highly successful Currency Management and Transition Management business.
  • Work in close partnership with other product owners to cross-sell Charles River, Prime Brokerage, FX, Financing Solutions, and Research services.
  • Develop close working relationships with portfolio managers, traders and technology staff.

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in the Capital Markets.
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of direct sales and institutional client coverage experience specifically with asset managers and asset owners.
  • Understanding of Order Management Systems (OMS) and functionality.
  • Previous experience in sales and trading or OMS/EMS, FIX connectivity or other aspects of equity and fixed income trading.
  • Proven track record of success in origination and coverage of institutional clients.
  • Firm understanding of global multi asset class market structure and best execution standards
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, market-driven, environment and be dynamic in your approach
  • Desire to build relationships across internal divisions to uncover opportunities with existing clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort interacting across all levels, including clients and internal stakeholders.

Education & Required Qualifications

  • Series 7 and 63 licenses
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Additional requirements

  • Travel up to 50% for client interactions

Full time in office role with flexibility to accommodate frequent travel

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $207,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
