Your role
As a Senior Projects Controls Specialist you'll guide purposeful work that supports the future of the Project Services Hub business. Collaborating with a diverse, multidisciplinary team, you’ll explore integrated solutions, offer thoughtful perspectives, and partner with clients to help them build a more sustainable world.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Project Controls Specialist in our Project Services Hub (PSH) you will be an integral part of our Queensland PSH team, providing project support to the wider business and working across all disciplines within Aurecon.
This role is based in Brisbane, and you will work as part of the wider team to estimate, analyse, and manage costs for various projects. You will ensure that corporate cost control, estimating, and planning/scheduling standards are implemented and that all project-related activities comply across all business units. This role will see you working closely with the Major Project Representative, Project Controls team and Project Managers to assist them in managing our projects to the cost and scheduling requirements.

What you’ll bring
You blend technical knowledge with empathy and big-picture thinking. You're someone who thrives in dynamic environments, builds meaningful connections, and is motivated by purposeful work. You’ll also have: 10 + years' experience within the engineering industry; either as a contractor, client or consultant, and bring an analytical mindset as well as the ability to innovate and solve problems. Holding a tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Project Management or Engineering will be of great benefit to your application. You'll have broad knowledge of project-related software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Contruent and an enterprise cost management system, and it's expected that you'll come with prior experience in developing and executing project controls on large and complex projects along with a thorough practical understanding of diversified controls engineering systems, principles, and practices.
