Role summary
 

As a VAT Compliance Transition SME at Flowserve, you will become part of our VAT team located in our Budapest office where our Business Service Center (BSC) is also located with approximately 200 colleagues. Your role will be primarily VAT project and VAT advisory focused and will include VAT compliance tasks as well. Our VAT team is technology oriented and supports various projects in addition to our VAT compliance activity across EMA. 

Your Role

• Support/Coordinate VAT Compliance transitions in the EMA region from local sites to the EMA VAT team in Budapest.
• Work closely with various Flowserve teams to support the execution of process and tax configuration changes/ improvements from a VAT perspective.
• Prepare/review VAT/ Indirect tax compliance deliverables from the newly transitioned sites.
• Support the implementation of tax technology tools and other tools that have impact on VAT-related processes, ERP implementations (especially SAP S4), e-invoicing implementation and the change management of such tools, projects and ERPs (various ERPs, including Oracle and SAP versions).

Your Profile

• You have a college/university degree in finance/accounting
• You have 8+ years of relevant experience at a BSC or at a consulting firm (Big4 or other large accounting firms)
• You have experience with ERPs and preferably with tax technology tools
• You are fluent in English both in writing and verbally, German language skills are a plus
• You have a strong ability to gather, organize and analyze data
• You have good troubleshooting skills
• You are accurate and highly organized with a focus on details
• You have a continuous improvement mindset, able to flexibly cope with process changes
• You are an excellent team player
