About the Opportunity:
St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs. We are a 189-bed facility with highly experienced and skilled staff that work as a team to deliver the highest standard of healthcare to all our patients. Our services include medical, surgical, maternity, paediatric, emergency, cardiac and rehabilitation. We are supported by comprehensive allied health services and advanced medical and diagnostic services. Pathology, radiology and pharmacy are also available on site, and our emergency department is open 24 hours, seven days a week.
This rewarding opportunity will see you join the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba (SVPHT) as a Clinical Admissions Nurse. In this role will work in collaboration with our Nurse Unit Managers to ensure Clinical Admissions Nurse the through put of efficient and effective coordination of human and material resources is provided for all admissions. This role is offered on a job share arrangement with contracted hours to be negotiated with successful applicants.

Things that work for us:
Registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated application of contemporary infection control standards and practices
Demonstrated clinical knowledge across all aspects of acute health care services provided at SVPHT
Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders
Ability to provide clinical practice and care consistent with the mission and philosophy of the facility
Ability to effectively coordinate the functioning of the service and provide clinical leadership across the continuum of care
Ability to manage physical and material resources
A working knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations, legislation and common law including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination legislation
Ability to manage and use information effectively from patient management system and electronic time and attendance system
Ability to effectively manage clinical and non-clinical risk, infection control and emergency situations
