ROLE SUMMARY

The Generative AI and Intelligent Assistant Products & Platforms Team, deliver and maintain the products and platforms and capabilities that enable Pfizer Business Units to automate, augment and accelerate business processes, while connecting digitally with our external patients and HCPs.,  We apply AI to build build intelligent solutions at a global scale that positively impact Pfizer business performance.  Pfizer is accelerating the use of digital technology across our entire enterprise.

The Team seeks a Manager, AI DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for system architecture, system design and solutions development to enable applications to embed AI anywhere it can enrich applications. This position requires a blend of expertise across Cloud Engineering, Serverless architecture and DevSecOps, along with in-depth full stack development practices.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The AI DevOps engineer  colleague’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and own all Cloud based assets in AWS accounts
  • Optimize the use and spend on AWS assets and automate provisioning and retirement activities
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvements across the CI/CD environment with integrated DevSecOps practices.
  • Develop and maintain standards, best practices and playbooks for DevSecOps practices
  • Interface with Platform Operations teams to ensure all assets, platforms and services are operating at optimal scale.
  • Contribute to the process required to identify and evaluate intelligent micro-services and platforms that can be complimented and scaled across AIDA organization.
  • Support day-to-day implementation needs and lead issue investigation and resolution with priority.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bsc degree is required
  • 4+ years of experience in deploying enterprise software solutions in public clouds preferably AWS
  • Familiar with AWS services Fargate /Lambda/Dynamo DB)
  • 3+ Years of managing technical and software development teams and automating end to end CD/CI pipelines
  • Familiar with managing production services using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT,
  • Has owned systems and managed development of end-to-end applications.
  • Has experience with production deployments and support on critical mission applications
  • Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Basic Knowledge with generative AI services offered by several providers like AWS /Azure/GCP
  • Ability to contribute to technical specifications and technical design documentation for the software development team.
  • Familiar with ITIL framework .
  • Experience working in teams to address software defect analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with the software development team.
  • Candidate must be an excellent communicator.

Advisor/Consultancy: Provides well-informed advice, typically within a specific technical specialization, ensuring that it is properly understood and appropriately exploited, to enhance the effectiveness of significant activities. Provides advice on technical aspects of Conversational UI and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.

Technical Acumen: Maintains knowledge of specific technologies provides detailed advice regarding their application, executes specialized tasks. 

Thought Leadership & Advocacy: Develop awareness of industry developments and best practices Provide thought leadership in emerging technologies as they relate to AI and Conversational UI

Presentation Skills: Ability to develop visually simple and appealing PowerPoint presentations and be comfortable with articulating and communicating with the right authority and messaging to a broad range of stakeholders
