ROLE SUMMARY

At Pfizer Oncology Division our mission is to accelerate breakthroughs that help people with cancer globally live better and longer lives.

The Data and AI Strategy Team within the Scientific Affairs and Strategic Partnership (SASP) group is responsible for creating a digital / AI-first mindset and culture across ORD teams, enable internal ORD collaboration around AI initiatives and lead on external engagement to identify, evaluate, and secure AI oncology opportunities. It is expected that these efforts will provide direct and visible benefits to ORD’s pipeline in the near-, mid-, and long-term.

We are looking for an ambitious operations manager to drive portfolio reporting, streamline project operations with internal and external partners and coordinate AI education activities.

A successful candidate will have a strong finance and project management background, ability to work independently and collaborate with cross functional teams as well as excellent PowerPoint communication skills.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Portfolio Reporting

  • Partners with Oncology and Digital stakeholders to establish the baseline of AI, Digital and Translational project portfolio across the Oncology Division
  • Monitors and maintains accuracy of critical AI portfolio projects, track portfolio progress and spend and capture value metrics.
  • Works as part of team responsible for design and development of new dashboards and reports supporting Digital portfolio stakeholders

AI project management

  • Assists our team with Maintaining current knowledge of technology trends and industry solutions via market intelligence and CRM platforms such as switch pitch, CB Insights and collaboration with the Digital Innovation & Alliances and CI team
  • Helps remove and elevate project roadblocks in times of high workload/demand for example in AI research or meetings with external/internal stakeholder

AI Education Project Management

  • Partners with AI Solutiuons Director and the Learning & Development organization to roll out AI educational curriculum to oncology stakeholders to enhance their understanding and adoption of data and AI technologies opportunities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or technology-related field; An advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical or health and life sciences industry.
  • Demonstrated organizational, project and budget management skills.
  • Expert ability with PowerPoint, Teams, and visualization tools.
  • Understanding of AI in general and its applications across the pharma value chain.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate with technology and non-technology colleagues, as well as external partners that may be unfamiliar with Pfizer.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations with minimum supervision, create structure, and interface with various levels in the organization.
  • Action oriented and energetic- driven to shaping the role and making an impact.
  • Excellent organizational skills and commitment to follow through
  • Quick to establish trust and respect- able to connect with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Persistent and determined.
  • Curios about the impact of AI on R&D and able to learn about new tech domains independently.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

This role requires working with US East Coast and West Coast stakeholders a few days a week during nonstandard work hours.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Works closely with our consulting and digital teams to help remove roadblock and streamline processes.
  • Presents to internal teams.

Financial Accountability

Will maintain accountability for tracking our operational budget and our portfolio of projects
