Job Description:

Learning & Development Director, Business Enablement

Purpose

The Learning & Development Director, Business Enablement for Sales and Business Enablement is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive training programs that enhance the skills of the Go-To-Market sale teams and other Insurance Solutions. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to ensure alignment with strategic selling goals to drive growth through effective enablement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

  • Develop Learning Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive learning development and strategies tailored to the needs of the client facing team aligned with our organizational growth objectives.
  • Program Design and Implementation: Design, develop and deliver advanced sales training programs utilizing various methodologies to include but not limited to in person workshops and eLearning targeted to advancing our products in the market and designed to sell the advantages of our products and solutions over the competition. This includes the training curriculum and coordination of training for clients facing new hires.
  • Content Development: Develop educational materials, programs, workshops and e-learning modules that are engaging and effective.
  • Business Enablement: Collaborate with client facing and enablement teams to identify skill gaps and develop targeted solutions that improve sales performance and cycle time.
  • Sales Enablement: Ensure the sales team has the tools, resources and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Leadership Development: Facilitate leadership development programs that complement the broader organization programs to prepare high-potential customer facing employees for career pathing within the organizations to grow into roles with ever increasing ability to influence results.
  • Performance Assessment: Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development programs through performance metrics, feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) Oversight: Lead the internal LMS to ensure efficient delivery, tracking, and reporting of all the training activities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business unit leaders to align and prioritize training needs and develop scalable solutions.
  • Innovation in Learning: Research and implement innovative learning initiatives and solutions.

Impact Measures

  • Sales Metrics: Improvement in sales metrics such as revenue, conversion rates and average deal sizes.
  • Quota Attainment: Percentage of sales team members meeting or exceeding their sales quotas.
  • Skill Improvement: Assessments to measure improvement in specific skills targeted by the training programs.
  • Return on Investment (ROI):  Financial return on the investment in training programs and platforms.
  • Innovation and Adaptability: Ability of the sales team to adapt to changing market trends, product enhancements and strategies as a result of the training.

Job Qualifications:

Successful Candidate Qualities and Experience

  • Experience: Extensive experience in learning and development, particularly within a sales environment. Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training programs.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership combined with direct and matrix management skills, ability to mentor and develop a team.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess training needs and measure effectiveness of learning initiatives.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Sales Knowledge: Deep understanding of sales processes, methodologies, strategies and best practices.

  • Instructional Design: Expertise in creating engaging and effective training materials.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM, LMS, MS Office, Video Editing, and other training/business technologies.

Annual Pay Range:

92,000 - 135,000 USD
