We are seeking a Solutions Engineer who excels in both pre-sales and post-sales environments. As the technical bridge between our prospects/customers and our product, you'll help prospects evaluate and implement Merge while ensuring current customers maximize value through implementation projects and technical guidance. This unique role combines consultative selling with deep technical expertise to drive customer success throughout the entire lifecycle. You'll collaborate with engineering and product teams to prioritize feature requests, resolve bugs, and shape our product roadmap. Your work as a Solutions Engineer will be both high-value and high-impact, with significant internal and external visibility.

What you will do:

  • Lead technical engagements with prospects and customers through proofs of concept, implementations, and ongoing support
  • Drive a seamless developer experience and take ownership of technical relationships throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to surface product improvements based on customer and prospect feedback
  • Build the foundation for a successful solutions engineering practice through technical demonstrations, training, and documentation

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years in solutions architecture, solutions engineering, sales engineering, or software engineering
  • Prior experience working on highly technical products at startups is highly preferred
  • Track record of robust stakeholder management skills both internally and externally
  • Computer science background or other technical/quantitative orientation
  • Strong work ethic, goal-oriented, and great attention to detail
