Job Title:

Identity and Access Engineer

Job Summary:

Manage and support the organization’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) system, ensuring appropriate user access and security. Collaborate with IAM, IT, and business teams to address access requirements, resolve issues, and support IAM projects. Administer daily operations, maintain system documentation, monitor for risks, and participate in audits. Implement IAM solutions for user lifecycle, governance, provisioning, and privileged access, while aligning with evolving business needs and providing user training as needed.

Education & Experience

Education and Experience Required:

Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) and two (2) years of work-related experience (i.e. healthcare, clinical practice, information technology, accounting, finance, healthcare revenue cycle, clinical informatics, Epic application build/optimization).

Certifications, Licenses or Registration required:  Epic certification or accreditation. If not Epic certified or accredited, must obtain Epic certification or accreditation within six (6) months of hire.


 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Skilled communicator with strong project administration, analytical, and organizational abilities. Proficient in IAM concepts and tools, including Microsoft Active Directory, Excel, Word, and SQL Server. Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Administer user accounts, roles, permissions, and access privileges in the IAM system.

  • Ensure proper access control based on user roles and business needs.

  • Perform daily IAM operations, including user provisioning, group management, and issue resolution.

  • Collaborate with the IAM team, business analysts, and application teams to define and support access requirements.

  • Monitor user activity, enforce IAM policies, and report on access management activities.

  • Participate in IAM projects, audits, and risk reviews.

  • Maintain and update IAM documentation, processes, and procedures.

  • Provide training to new users and stay current with IAM best practices.

  • Support compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Adapt IAM solutions to align with organizational changes and security standards.
