Job Description

  • We are looking for an experienced US Payroll Subject Matter Expert who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll operations for our organization. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements in the United States/Canada

Process support:

Read, understand and analyze client’s US Payroll process as per the business rules as a subject matter expert. Execute the process accurately and timely as hands on processor. Master the given process and help the team members to overcome process related queries. Escalate issues and seek advice when faced with complex issues/problems. Pay close attention to quality of written and verbal English skills within Team. Creates a logical plan, realistic estimates and schedule for an activity or project segment. Ensure LWI’s are followed and updated regularly and train the team members on process updates. Ensure process controls are in place; Maintain, validate and update process documentations eg Opex, Bottoms up etc as applicable to ensure compliance with Customer and Accenture documentation requirements. Perform “Root Cause Analysis” on issues faces and suggest appropriate corrective action for current remediation and future control. Must be able to propose process improvement ideas which can reduce time, improved accuracy or enhance controls Participates in Knowledge Transfer of any process/client and acquires in depth knowledge of process as an SME. Participates in various internal or client initiatives related to Process. Must have clear understanding of the existing matrices in the process, how they are measured and improvise the measurement system to make it more effective and transparent. Ensure the process dashboards and visual management displays are up to date and reviewed

Team support:

Plan proper allocation of work. Support Team lead / Manager with Daily stats / reporting and OPEX MOS. Enrich team members with a clear sense of direction and understanding of each other’s' responsibilities. To be available on the floor through the day to resolve process related issues. Participate in Team building activities. Create effective QC and Audit mechanism within process to ensure delivery on SLA’s. Assist in training/educating AHRS personnel on learning and acquired skills in process.

Client support:

Update process metrics on daily basis and maintain MIS. Support special process requirements to meet client requests/demands. To continue strengthen work relationship with Onshore Teams. Apply procedures to ensure accuracy of output and adopts continuous improvement approach. Always demonstrate the highest level of customer service. Pay close attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues. Goes beyond immediate requests and activities to ensure both own and related tasks are completed. Participate in client conference calls and prepare ‘minutes of meeting’.

Adapt to changing environment and support of multiple clients (where needed). Analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action. Demonstrate maturity in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters. Must have the ability to take judgmental decisions in line with the requirement to directly influence customer satisfaction and expectations. Mentoring skills.
