Solution Architect

Job Summary
As a Solution Architect at Parametric Technology S.A., you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of comprehensive, scalable, and robust technical solutions that meet our clients' business needs and align with our product offerings.

Responsibilities
* Lead the design and architecture of complex software solutions, leveraging Parametric Technology S.A.'s product portfolio (e.g., CAD, PLM, IoT, AR platforms).
* Translate business requirements and technical specifications into detailed architectural designs, including system diagrams, data models, and integration strategies.
* Collaborate closely with sales teams, product managers, and engineering teams to understand client challenges and propose optimal technical solutions.
* Conduct technical assessments of existing client systems and infrastructures to identify opportunities for improvement and integration.
* Define and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance policies throughout the solution development lifecycle.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural blueprints and quality standards.
* Evaluate new technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance our product capabilities and competitive advantage.
* Act as a technical liaison between Parametric Technology S.A. and clients, presenting architectural concepts and technical roadmaps effectively.
* Develop proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and prototypes to demonstrate the feasibility and value of proposed solutions.
* Participate in pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and responding to RFPs/RFIs.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development with at least 3-5 years in a Solution Architect or Lead Architect role.
* Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions, preferably within the manufacturing, engineering, or product development domains.
* Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and DevOps practices.
* Expertise in architectural patterns, microservices, cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), and API design.
* Proficiency with Parametric Technology S.A.'s core technologies (e.g., PTC Creo, Windchill, ThingWorx, Vuforia) or similar CAD, PLM, IoT, or AR platforms is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions, negotiate solutions, and influence stakeholders at various levels.
* Experience with database technologies (relational and NoSQL), data warehousing, and business intelligence.
* Ability to travel occasionally to client sites as required.
