Senior Systems Analyst
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior System Analyst to join our Data Enablement Team to support our Snowflake platform and analytics space. As an analyst aligned to Data Enablement, over time you can expect to conduct systems and data analysis across different applications and initiatives with diverse scope in an integrated data environment. This role is analysis centric, but as part of a mature Agile team, you may also be asked to participate in story testing, data quality discussions with Data Governance, current state application analysis, and production issue resolution.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
BS/BA OR equivalent demonstrated analytical and technical ability
5+ years of data and/or systems analysis experience in the form of research, data and requirement gap analysis, data mining, and data profiling.
Experience with visualization tools (ex: Tableau, Power BI) a plus
Experience with Snowflake or cloud native data warehousing and data lake solutions
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems a plus
Exposure to client or associate-centric transactional processing systems a plus
Ability to research and document detailed data flow diagrams or willingness to learn (current state data flows)
Ability to research and develop data mappings from source data to a transformed/prepared analytical environment
Ability to analyze existing Oracle-sourced dashboards and reconstruct them using new dimensional data model and views.
Ability to assist BI Publishers in development of new dashboards through a clear understanding of where data resides and what it represents from a business process standpoint.
Working understanding of relevant applications and database platforms (e.g. Salesforce, RepApp, Oracle, Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server)
Mature SQL skills
Willingness to support your Agile team in getting stories over the finish line, which may include testing, requirements definition and other activities outside of core analysis
Ability to learn from current state application behaviors and resulting data as you test, research and analyze so that you have a deep understanding of the “what and why” the data reflects and the related business processes driving the data you explore.
Familiar with the financial services industry or non-profit operational environment or have a strong desire to learn our business
Awareness of good data governance practices relative to data analysis and model design (PII, minimization, etc.); Experience with or willingness to learn common data governance tools (Alation, Collibra)
