Advanced Analytics Manager

As an Advanced Analytics Manager on the Revenue Analytics Team, you’ll lead and support high visibility, high-impact projects, distilling complex data points down to key actionable insights. The ideal candidate executes and communicates well under pressure and enjoys forging partnerships to build consensus and drive change.

Analytical and strategic thinking are key to this role. The ideal candidate is willing to roll up their sleeves and enjoys digging into the data and zooming out to communicate impact to the big picture. This position will require working independently on advanced analytics projects, including data preparation, formulating solutions, data model development, validation, implementation, and presentation of findings to stakeholders. In this role you’ll collaborate with Finance, Sales Operations, Sales Engineering, Product, Pricing, Customer Success, Marketing, and Digital Transformation Teams, to learn, and drive alignment in support of Proofpoint’s strategic goals.

The Role 

  • Develop ad hoc and ongoing self-service analytics and reporting
  • Gather feedback, QA, and validate analysis to drive to completion
  • Develop engaging visualizations and reports for key audiences; from sales reps to E-staff
  • Communicate findings to the Director to VP+ level and above stakeholders
  • Influence and drive change through data-driven insights
  • Gather requirements, develop and present project plans
  • Identify, propose, and implement opportunities for efficiency and automation
  • Leverage deep knowledge of Proofpoint’s processes and data to support key company initiatives and deliver actionable insights
  • Support execution of analytics best practices, data management, and quality control
  • Drive analytics projects in topic areas such as pipeline, revenue, quote to cash, cycle times, account & territory planning, go-to market, headcount, renewals, forecasting, customer success, and more

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related technical subject
  • 5 to 6+ years of experience in managing and executing the delivery of actionable insights from start to finish; ideation and development, to planning, execution, and presentation
  • Experience in sales analytics, sales operations, or similar process-heavy areas such as sourcing, procurement, procure to pay, supply chain, inventory management, product management, marketing, operations, etc.
  • Highly proficient in PowerBI
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Highly proficient in managing complex data models and logic
  • Highly proficient in translating business problems into technical requirements
  • Highly proficient in defining and developing KPIs using data modeling and reporting tools
  • Experience supporting stakeholders in developing goals using statistical techniques and historical data
  • Highly proficient in developing, communicating, and managing project plans
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations covering various topics; analytics results, project status, strategic roadmaps, and more
  • Experience influencing and gaining consensus across teams and levels using data-driven, actionable insights/business intelligence
  • Experience working cross-functionally and with senior leaders to drive action
  • Experience with version control implementation and management is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Experience with PowerApps / PowerPlatform is a plus
  • Experience and interest in AI use cases is a plus

The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable pay and/or equity. SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 128,940.00 - 202,620.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 106,750.00 - 167,750.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 96,320.00 - 151,360.00 USD
