Job Description

DUTIES:                            Provide technical leadership in performing system administration for Jira and Confluence instances; develop software throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); code using REST APIs and JavaScript; work with networking technologies and protocols, including HTTPS, firewalls, SSO, and SAML; work within Linux OS; administer SQL databases, including MySQL; participate as a technical expert in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, contributing to new products implementation, and implementing existing products and services interface with vendors, Engineering and peer operations organizations to define requirements for advance customization, automations and integrations; create data and metric systems to track operational workflows; maintain records of results and feedback; analyze data and metrics, identify problem areas and provide actionable insight to management; provide input to engineering and vendors on defects and required enhancements; report performance related to operations and project status to management; identify and recommend areas requiring change or modification; drive issues through closure engaging all appropriate resources; lead technical bridges and provide troubleshooting direction; act as an advocate for Engineering Operations procedures, policies and processes; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers and project teams. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.

REQUIREMENTS:            Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience performing system administration for Jira and Confluence instances; of which three (3) years include developing software throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); and of which one (1) year includes coding using Rest APIs and JavaScript; working with networking technologies and protocols, including HTTPS, firewalls, SSO, and SAMLs; working within Linux OS; and administering SQL databases, including MySQL
