About the role

This is an exciting new opportunity within the Zillow Rentals team to play a critical role in driving important infrastructure changes that support the growth of our business. You will lead all aspects of the product lifecycle, from strategic vision to execution, working with our leadership, engineering, and data science teams, as well as with related teams across all of Zillow. This role demands a blend of product expertise in infrastructure, data, and integrations, as well as effective communication, influencing, and prioritization.

You Will Get To

• Develop and implement a product strategy that aligns with the vision and growth goals for Zillow Rentals, ensuring the infrastructure can scale to meet increasing demand.

• Improve our integrations that help power rentals listings, collaborating with our partners to define and drive the process and tooling. 

• Partner with engineering teams to design and implement solutions that enhance the efficiency and reliability of our rental listings pipeline.

• Partner with our Operations team to build effective feed tools that improve processes.

• Collaborate with other teams across Zillow (product, design, eng, data science, etc.) to drive improvements to data quality that enhances the Zillow experience for renters. 

• Gather requirements, drive alignment and create cross-team transparency on product initiatives.

• Manage competing needs by establishing a clear product roadmap that balances near-term needs with strategic goals. Ensure quality, speed and reliability are prioritized in all product development efforts.

• Leverage data insights and analytics to inform prioritization, measure success and identify areas for improvement within infrastructure and feed operations.

• Exhibit outstanding time management and interpersonal skills to ensure project alignment across diverse business partners working 100% remotely.

• Stay up-to-date with rentals industry trends and market dynamics, and use this knowledge for innovation and differentiation.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $145,500.00 - $232,500.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience, with at least 3 years focusing on infrastructure or data products preferred.

• Experience working with engineering teams to develop and implement technical solutions.

• Outstanding ability to influence and drive consensus internally, leading to products and capabilities that ship

• Excellent written communication skills. Ability to share complex messages concisely to diverse audiences in the form of written plans, product requirements, and user stories.

• Strong executive presence and verbal presentation abilities.

• Consistent track record of leading without direct authority.

• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Strong consultative skills ranging across gathering insights, problem solving, analytics, strategy development, influencing, facilitation, and consensus building
