Working from home or presenting to client families in the field, the licensed Insurance Agent is a self-starter expected to achieve their quota (pacesetter) target by selling pre-need arrangements and services. The Insurance Agent serves families in a professional, caring and timely manner. Follow-up and generation of referrals from client families are integral to success and to establish a strong service relationship with families. The PPA also develops relationships with the community.

We are looking for a competitive Insurance Agent to generate new business by contacting potential customers. You will sell, solicit, differentiate and negotiate insurance plans that match the needs of your assigned or prospective customers’ portfolio.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Developing marketing strategies and promote all types of new insurance contracts or suggest additions/changes to existing ones
  • Breeding productive relationships to create a pool of prospective clients from various sources by networking, cold calling, using referrals etc.
  • Evaluating business or individual customers’ needs and financial status and proposing protection plans that meet their criteria

  • Work with clients to deliver risk management strategies that fit their risk profiles
  • Report the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to stakeholders
  • Maintain bookkeeping systems, database and records
  • Monitor insurance claims to ensure mutual satisfaction
  • Achieve customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives

Requirements and skills:

  • Proven working experience as an Insurance Agent
  • Basic computer knowledge and statistical analysis
  • Proven ability to work with established goals
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, influence and sell effectively
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting relationships

Licenses:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain insurance license as required by state/province
  • Current state/province issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Experience

  • Sales or Customer experience preferred
  • Previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) sales systems preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient computer skills including MS office suite
  • Proficient computer skills with CRM and Social Networking Apps preferred
  • Professional demeanor and communication skills
  • Professional attire required when meeting with clients or representing the company
  • Available to work evenings and weekends
  • Strong phone requirements
