The Accountant ensures and provides accurate and timely financial information to support AFS Operations and Global accounting. Position will cultivate a continuous improvement culture and will participate in ongoing learning and engagement in a fast-paced shared services environment. The ideal candidate must be able to contribute to the Shared Service strategy and execution by applying their knowledge and experience.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Prepares and assists in the completion of more complex financial deliverables
• Executes accounting assignments that are varied and possibly difficult
• Performs reconciliations of AP accounts
• Performs review/monitoring and QA of AP processing
• Performs research and analysis
• Develop and maintain relationships with business segments and stakeholders
• Assists in monitoring key performance indicators
• Maintain compliance with internal controls including SOX
• Supports integrations (M&A) and/or system implementations
• Assist to ensure team meets all deadlines and deliverables in a timely and accurate manner
• Committed to continuous learning and a continuous improvement culture

Basic Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Accounting
• 2 years of accounting experience

• Ability to interact both with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to analyze data

• Strong computer skills, proficient in a PC environment, proficient with MS Word, Excel, Power BI and e-mail systems
• Ability to work professionally and effectively with
