Procurement Specialist - Comprador Especialista

 The Procurement Specialist will be accountable for ideation and driving procurement improvement projects, boosting the Business performance. Besides the impact on savings, there is also an impact on margin and revenue.

In this role, you are responsible for:            

  • Partnering with R&D, Product Management and Supply base on new product development, sourcing and sustaining
  • Ensure early supplier involvement during the product development and product launch phase
  • Meet Bill of Material cost targets and assure on-time/on-plan sourcing
  • Conduct RFI’s / RFQ’s, follow up and report out on material cost status and timeline
  • Ideate and drive procurement improvement projects, boosting the Business Unit QD&C performance
  • Drive design to cost, conduct cost workshops & execute cost reductions programs
  • Support the Product change management process during and after product launch
  • Conduct Sourcing in-line with the global procurement category strategy
  • Support new supplier identification and on-boarding
  • Driving cost performance for sustaining projects for an assigned product category
  • Deliver added value by bringing the entire Procurement network to the equation, especially by cooperating with Commodity Management.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category/commodity management in a large international company
  • Bilingual English
  • Experience in supplier management, R&D partnering, sourcing or commodity management
  • Deep knowledge of the long-term structural cost drivers for assigned products/categories
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with key stakeholders across domains such as Sales, Supply Chain, and International Project Management.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

 This is an office role in Varginha, MG.
