Operational Buyer – Capacitors Factory, Ludvika

Join our growing Supply Chain team as an Operational Buyer! You’ll play a key role in purchasing components for customer deliveries, working closely with planning, production, quality, engineering, and sales.

How you’ll make an impact

• Monitor MRP messages daily to ensure timely placement of POs based on system recommendations and production requirements. Follow up on OAs and material deliveries, ensuring supplier confirmations align with agreed commercial terms and conditions.
• Maintain and optimize procurement parameters in the ERP system (e.g., safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes, procurement types). Collaborate with Production Planners and Strategic Buyers to analyze consumption trends, adjust inventory levels, and implement stock reduction initiatives that balance supply with operational demand.
• Partner with Strategic Buyers to ensure supplier performance meets expectations in delivery, quality, and flexibility. Proactively resolve and escalate supplier performance issues in accordance with internal escalation protocols.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely Goods Receipt (GR) and accurate invoice processing. Resolve invoice mismatches and payment issues by working closely with the Accounts Payable team.
• Drive continuous improvement in the P2P process, supporting management initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and supplier collaboration. Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and cost savings while consistently achieving and exceeding KPIs.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking accountability for actions and fostering a culture of care and responsibility toward colleagues and the business.
   

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in operational purchasing or a similar role.
• Proficiency in SAP MM module or other ERP systems, and MS Office tools.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
• Structured, responsible, and improvement-focused mindset.
• Team player with a solution-oriented approach.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Swedish is a plus.
