Job Description:

The Job/What You'll Do:

The Product Marketing Program Manager develops and oversees content and tactical marketing programs designed to create awareness, drive demand, and increase the share of wallet for investment solutions on the AssetMark investment platform. You will think and act strategically and tactually: from the inception of a product idea to creating product launch plans. You are a self-starter, detail-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment. You are a storyteller who uses data to inform your product marketing strategies. You are collaborative and enjoy working with stakeholders from across the business.

This is a full-time position in our Concord, CA office with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

Product Messaging & Positioning:

  • Build product positioning, messaging, and marketing strategies

  • Develop value propositions and key messaging to be used across every customer touchpoint from the top of the funnel through to Sales, RMs, and Business Consulting

GTM Strategy & Launch:

  • Launch new features and capabilities in a growing portfolio with a cross-functional team of product, sales, and stakeholders

  • Provide an agency approach of innovation and ideation to support stakeholders and the success of marketing activities

Stakeholder Enablement and Support:

  • Work directly with Ensemble Teams, Sales, Product, Compliance, and others to provide the right materials and messaging, including fact sheets, customer content, presentations, and product portfolio materials

  • Implement a holistic approach to content that spans from emails, social media, to the website, eWM, events, and other advisor touchpoints

Voice-of-the-Customer:

  • Understand our Advisor and AssetMark value proposition to the market and users;

  • Implement actionable feedback loops for your marketing activities and synthesize insights and data across feedback channels

  • Conduct ongoing market research to inform messaging, positioning, and product development decisions

Planning, Execution & Measurement:

  • Drive quarterly planning and expected business impact with your product marketing activities and campaigns; Owning the end-to-end (from concept through to sunset) lifecycle

  • Monitor product performance metrics and investor engagement data to drive continuous improvement

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong ability to multitask across projects as well as to bridge from marketing strategy to tactical marketing execution

  • Aptitude in evaluating and prioritizing competing projects while ensuring deadlines are met

  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for both advisor and investor audiences

  • Ability to write for advisor and end-client audiences, and ability to review the work of other team members to ensure consistent messaging and adherence to brand and platform positioning

  • Capable of working independently as well as being team-oriented, with high energy, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment to delivering high-quality work

  • Proficiency in working with remote team members in multiple office locations

  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, time, and project management skills

  • An understanding of financial markets and the financial advisor marketplace is preferred

Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years in a B2B or B2C marketing role
  • Experience with mutual funds, ETFs, and separately managed accounts is preferred
