The System Administrator L2/L3 provides advanced technical support for end user computing
devices, servers, and core IT infrastructure. Candidates should have 5–7 years of hands-on
experience in system administration and infrastructure management, including patching, server
administration, security monitoring, and compliance. This role ensures operational stability and
guides L1/L2 teams in a multi-tier support environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support for hardware, software, and network issues (remote diagnostics, advanced configuration, problem replication).
- Manage end user computing device patching, OS/application updates, and endpoint.
- protection (Intune, Autopilot, Azure AD, Windows 10/11, Endpoint Manager, M365 Apps).
- Manage the configuration, optimization, and integration of Microsoft 365 services (All Associated Apps), including account administration, security settings, and workflow automation, while providing user training and best practice guidance to enhance adoption and efficiency.
- Administer and maintain servers, Active Directory, Azure Intune, DNS, DHCP, file servers, backup/restore, and server security monitoring.
- Perform asset lifecycle management, device imaging, deployment, and asset tracking.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement fixes in infrastructure, software, or codebase.
- Lead post-incident reviews and guide L1/L2 teams.
- Monitor system activity for stability and proactively resolve issues.
- Implement and maintain endpoint protection (anti-virus, EDR) on all supported devices.
- Enforce secure configuration baselines (CIS Benchmarks).
- Support Zero Trust Network Access / MFA for remote access and privileged accounts.
- Maintain audit logs for administrative actions and participate in security incident response.
- Manage backup solutions, restore data, and ensure compliance with retention policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to DNS, DHCP, file servers, and backup/restore operations.
- Participate in compliance audits and regulatory reviews.
- Experience with Jira Service Management or FreshService ticketing systems.
Required Skills & Tools
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, Azure AD, Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, file server management, backup/restore, and security monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated competency in supporting the administration and operational maintenance of an enterprise IT Service Management (ITSM) platform within a global, follow-the-sun support model.
- Experience with patch management and endpoint protection & Familiarity with ITIL, asset management, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written English communication skills sufficient to effectively support U.S.-based end users via chat, phone, and email.
- Able to clearly articulate technical information to non-technical audiences, ensuring understanding and resolution of issues.
- Capable of participating in live support interactions, meetings, and escalations with U.S. stakeholders when required.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 to support a global operating model by working aligned with U.S. business hours, including evenings or overnight shifts local to India.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
- CompTIA Server+, Network+, Security+ or other security certifications.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
