BMO Radicle is advertising for 3 open positions with a common skills and experience profile across the Credit Development Service, to be based in either a specific technical product portfolio (e.g. Methane, Low Carbon Fuels, Carbon Capture & Storage) or the Client Success team (working directly with internal stakeholders and corporate clients) to deliver successful carbon offset instruments.
The Credit Development Service is responsible for delivering on a range of carbon offset products across several portfolios, to deliver outstanding value and client service to BMO Radicle’s clientele. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative team environment, can meet immediate needs while planning for the future and strives for continuous improvement.

The Client Success Team’s objectives are to deliver an exceptional client experience to maximize client retention, enhance and inform the success of new and existing product development, and drive consistent revenue growth from existing products.
The Product Portfolio Teams each manage a portfolio of profitable emission reduction/removal monetization products across their lifecycle from ideation, piloting, scaling and sunsetting in alignment with firm-wide and Credit Development Service strategies, and in collaboration with Client Success, Operational Excellence & Technology, Sales, and other business units.
Core expectations and responsibilities of the role

Collaborate with system users and stakeholders to be able to understand challenges with existing processes and continually work towards better processes and systems
Provide mentorship to junior team members, helping to shape their professional progression.
Contribute to project verification activities, including addressing technical and client-related questions/ issues identified by third-party verification bodies
Analyze and QA/QC data, execute on program monitoring, reporting, and auditing requirements
Provide technical (technological, regulatory, project management) insight to assist the scaling of carbon credit development products by identifying risks and opportunities
Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in greenhouse gas reduction projects, carbon credit markets, emissions management, and/or related fields
Proven experience with project management/implementation success across multiple stakeholders and/or jurisdictions
Strong technical, engineering or scientific background (chemical/mechanical engineering, petroleum engineering/diploma, environmental sciences/engineering, instrumentation, environmental chemistry, etc.) or demonstrated economics experience in environmental commodities markets
Strong written and verbal communication skills across cross-disciplined and cross-functional stakeholder groups
Understanding of all stages of the product development and offset credit development lifecycle (including ideation, business planning, credit delivery, and all other related stages)
Ability to review technical carbon offset policy documentation and extract and document key information
Experience delivering complex projects on time and within budget
Demonstrated experience in North American policy which impacts offset project development opportunities.
Previous carbon advisory experience is a plus – see example/keywords below.
Additional desired skills and experiences
Familiarity with jurisdictional and sectoral standards and regulations in one or more product areas (Methane, Low Carbon Fuels, Carbon Capture & Storage)
Examples/Keywords: GHG, Energy Transition, Sustainability, TIER, NPRI, GHGRP, OBPS, CFR, LCFS, WCI, RFS, ETS, VCM, ICVCM, VCMI, ICROA, CDR, CAR, ACR, MRV/MMV
Collaboration on the creation of effective system requirements documentation for Software Development and participating in software development cycles
Authoring Offset Project Plans/Project Design documents and policy documentation to guide internal stakeholders and inform third-party verification work
Participation in strategy development on new projects to identify key components of a winning strategy
Development of KPIs and product goals
Consultative or advisory work with corporate clients on carbon market or industrial project development opportunities
History of developing and nurturing strong professional relationships (internal and external)
Experience of creating, launching and scaling new products
Experience in creating financial tracking tools (financial models) for novel projects and products
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
