The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Production Planner in the C-UxS Division under our Spectrum Superiority line of business (LoB.) The Production Planner is responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet Program and customer delivery requirements as well as working with the Supply Chain Team validating/coordinating inventory/material availability to meet critical delivery dates.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan production tasks and schedules according to Program and Customer orders.

  • Work with production leadership in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime and resource allocation.

  • Analyze back orders, current orders, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan and schedule the production operations in accordance with available resource capacity.

  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

  • Works with Supply Chain Team to improve inventory management processes to avoid production floor shortages and excesses of materials.

  • Monitors orders progress through the production process to ensure it’s following the schedule.

  • Perform work order release, completion, and closure in INFOR.

  • Generate purchase requisitions for material and/or consumables as needed. (Non-BOM related)

  • Reviews, tracks, and reports material shortages/discrepancies to key stakeholders and collaborates with Supply Chain personnel to correct issues before impacting the production schedule.

  • Assures BOMs are accurate and producible as well as engineering drawings.

  • Work with and through the Supply Chain Team to resolve scheduling constraints due to material availability to support current and futures orders.

  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and availability of raw materials or components.

  • Perform manufacturing analysis, including parts and labor requirements for moderately complex production builds.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4-7 years of manufacturing experience.

  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes for planning and production.

  • Experience with INFOR or ERP systems in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency with MS Office products - PowerPoint, Excel, Word

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Ability to interact with all levels professionally and tactfully within the organization.

  • Must have strong analytical skills.

  • Understands inventory control methodology, including inventory, planning, and forecasting processes.

  • A complete understanding of how a Bill of Materials is developed and managed through the product life cycle, including identifying make and buy parts and revision control of parts.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$103,800 - $218,100
