In Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M), our purpose is to combine global connectivity and capability to build a better Australia. What we do as a business matter to our clients, the Group and the country.
Global Markets is a department of IB&M and is responsible for all activities in interest rate, bonds, foreign exchange, credit and debt products. Markets has offices across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, London and New York.
The Global Markets Domain crews are responsible for the execution of a range of technology change initiatives in IB&M. The crews also undertake a range of initiatives that cut across the CBA group to enable wider strategic initiatives. This team works closely with a range of Group and IB&M stakeholders to enable Global Markets and Commodities & Carbon businesses. This includes risk and controls management, business change, prioritisation and delivery of initiatives, and ongoing business improvement.
Do work that matters
Reporting to the Crew Lead for FICC & Carbon crew, these newly created roles will see you deliver strategic technology change in the IB&M business across Global Markets and Commodities & Carbon. You will work with stakeholders of all levels of seniority across the Group as you assist in delivery of Global Markets strategy, whilst ensuring ongoing awareness and review of risks
Your responsibilities
Lead technology stream of work, primarily in Murex
Coordinate end to end delivery of technology roadmap for the respective stream
On day-to-day basis lead the delivery squad by providing business context, clarity and product vision
Work with sales and trading business to capture business requirements and prioritise for technology squads
Identify risk, dependencies, and issues for the squad in line with excellent management of operational risk and compliance outcomes.
Stay abreast of external market trends, including regulatory, economics and innovation.
Build and foster strong relationships across the product value chain, including frontline teams, compliance and technology to ensure efficient delivery of strategic initiatives and resolution of issues.
Support crew lead to ensure overall crew objectives and business OKRs are met
Proactively identify, articulate and manage risks and compliance across your product
Work with GM COO, Line 1 & Line 2 Risk teams and Compliance ensure adherence to Global Markets policies across platforms you are responsible for.
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
Have previous experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager or Scrum Master
Hold a Scrum Alliance certification such as CSPO or CSM
Have highly developed knowledge of Financial Markets including Commodities & Carbon
Possess sound knowledge of trading platforms like Murex or Calypso
Have a proven track record of delivery of large complex initiatives
Are adept at collaborating across multiple teams
Possess strong negotiation skills and have the ability to manage multiple priorities
Understand Agile and have been successful in Agile delivery
