Box Tree Farm, Ratby

You have substantial experience of working in Housing and Social Care and an in‐depth understanding of mental health issues. You’d also like to be part of an organisation that counts on the professionalism, insight, expertise and passion of its staff to inspire individual recovery for the people they work with. Welcome to Richmond Fellowship’s Crisis House service Box Tree Farm as a Service Manager.

Box Tree Farm is a mental health crisis house providing a range of support through structured and non-structured interventions for people with mental ill-health, working within a recovery-based model. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards. This role does require you to work varied hours as the service is 24/7 and may include some waking night shifts, whereby the event of emergency cover may be required within your service.

We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in.

Responsible for managing the day‐to‐day running of the service, you’ll ensure the quality of support we provide to people who use our services is second to none. Managing service contracts, line managing staff, carrying out inductions, undertaking audits and investigations, putting team development plans in place and supporting business development colleagues – all are aspects of this challenging and rewarding role.

Substantial experience of managing a caseload of individuals with complex needs is a given, as is the ability to lead by example using a firm but inclusive management style. Some housing management experience would be useful too. Open and encouraging, you have lots of tact and diplomacy and are great at managing conflicting priorities. You also have a flexible approach to working hours and are happy to participate in on call arrangements. In return for your skills and enthusiasm, this role comes with some really great benefits and excellent training and development opportunities.

This is a permanent full-time role for 37.5 hours a week.
