About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 2 in San Jose, CA
What you will accomplish: Build solutions using strong background in software development, and large-scale database systems. Research, analyze, design, develop and test the solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies. Participate in design discussions, code reviews and project related team meetings. Develop technical, domain expertise and apply it to solving product challenges. Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications. Develop, design, code, and test complex software features. Develop software code and lead code review sessions. Identify and fix performance, scalability, and other software live issues in a very time critical environment. Identify and make recommendations to reduce software project risks. Partial telecommuting permitted from a commutable distance.
What you will bring:
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, or a related occupation.

Salary: $157,000.00-205,700.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
