Job Title: Human Resources Generalist (6-month contract)

Location: India

Department: Human Resources

Reports To: HR Manager

Job Summary: The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will assist in various HR functions, including supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with up to two years of HR experience, looking to grow and develop in the HR field.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding/Offboarding:

  • Screen resumes and participate in interviews.
  • Prepare onboarding materials and facilitate new employee orientations.
  • Mange employee exits.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events.
  • Help maintain a positive work environment by addressing employee issues and fostering communication.

Performance Management:

  • Support the performance review process by tracking deadlines and coordinating with managers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.

Compliance and Record-Keeping:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain employee records and HR databases with high accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.

Training and Development:

  • Assist in identifying training needs and scheduling training sessions.
  • Help develop and distribute training materials.

Benefits Administration:

  • Assist with benefits enrollment and addressing employee questions regarding benefits.
  • Support the coordination of open enrollment and other benefits-related activities.

General HR Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the HR department.
  • Assist in HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree/College Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in human resources or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Worday is an asset.
