The Staff Software AI Engineer will lead the design, development and deployment of advanced AI and machine learning models. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI solutions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in data science, machine learning and software engineering, with a strong track record of developing AI models and deploying them in production environments.

As a Staff Engineer, you’ll be leading and driving thought leadership, designing and implementing large scale ML and AI engineering solutions, coaching other team members and as well as influencing and engaging the senior stakeholders on modern best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable AI solutions and complex AI and ML models that integrate with existing systems and support business objectives.
  • Conduct experiments to evaluate model performance and iteratively refine models based on findings.
  • Collaborate with Data engineers to deploy AI models in production environments, ensuring robustness and scalability.
  • Lead research initiatives to explore new AI models and methodologies that can be applied to current and future products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional roles including data engineers, Software Engineers and business to deliver AI solutions.
  • Develop and implement monitoring systems to track the performance of AI models in production.

Tech Skills:

  • Proven hands-on experience in automated LLM outcome validation, metrication of AI outputs.
  • Hands-on experience using AWS cloud services such as SNS, SQS, Lambda.
  • Strong commercial experience implementing solutions using RAG, Prompt Engineering, LLM models - OpenAI and Bedrock.
  • Expertise in Python, MLOps, Vector DB, Dynamo DB, Langfuse, MLflow, Glue, Bleu, traditional machine learning.
  • Demonstrated experience in DevSecOps practices including continuous integration, continuous deployment and security practices.
  • Deep knowledge of ethical AI practices and tools to implement scalable solutions.
  • Experience in big data platform technologies such as Spark framework, Iceberg file formats, Redshift and relational databases.
  • Collaborate with Data engineers to deploy AI models in production environments, ensuring robustness and scalability.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps ways of working including continuous integration/continuous deployment, security practices.
