DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Train staff in current manufacturing processes, machine operation/calibration and documentation.
  • Train staff on line-level machine operation and good manufacturing practices (cGMP).
  • Plan and implement standard training program for all new manufacturing staff. Use this program to schedule training during an employee’s first 45 days on the job.
  • Create and implement standard training programs to include product and manufacturing training relative to that employee’s position. including computer skills
  • Communicate effectively with managers/supervisors to identify employee training needs, strengths, and weaknesses.
  • Train others to effectively deliver training programs (train-the-trainer)
  • Prepares SOPS, training materials, documents, and presentation materials.
  • Verifies efficacy of training by routine proficiency testing.
  • Records training sessions and provides QCU and HR with training records.
  • Performs additional training, projects, and miscellaneous tasks as requested by manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

B.S. or A.S from a college or university with a focus on Manufacturing or Chemistry/ Biology or relevant experience in training in a manufacturing environment; A minimum of 2 years training experience is preferred. SAP experience is a plus but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to write, read, analyze and interpret SOP’s, work instructions and product standards.  Ability to write reports and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff with varying levels of proficiency.

MATHEMATICAL AND COMPUTER SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate simple averages, percentages, and measure volume.  Direct experience with personal computer, keyboard and software packages including Windows, Microsoft Office, and MRP.  SAP experience preferred but not required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current driver’s license, auto insurance, own vehicle transportation.
