About the role

The Impairment Benefits Specialist is to manage the end-to-end impairment determination process for injured workers in accordance with legislative requirements.

To be successful in this role you will have‎:‎

  • Problem Solving and Decision Making – strong analytical and reasoning skills
  • Negotiation & Influencing
  • Communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Work Management – organisational and time management skills
  • Customer Service 

Required Expertise  

  • Comprehensive training program AMA4 run by Work Safe Victoria.
  • At least two years' claims management experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in dealing with the legal profession.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical, paramedical terminology and procedures, including the forms of treatment applicable to injury.
  • Management of hearing device claims.
