Job Description

The primary role of the IT CAD Support is to provide technical support and expertise in CAD operations. This position requires a deep understanding of CAD systems, architectural and engineering drawings, as well as the ability to manage and mentor a team of CAD technicians.

How you will do it:

  • Organize and plan your own workload while assisting in directing the workload of other CAD Support Technicians.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for CAD operations, ensuring all drawings meet quality standards and project specifications.
  • Review and approve CAD drawings, providing feedback to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Facilitate training sessions for CAD Support Technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with design teams to prepare detailed technical submissions including schematics and drawings.
  • Conduct pre and post-project design meetings to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Monitor project timelines and CAD submissions to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the development of CAD standards and best practices within the team.
  • Provide answers to technical questions from team members and stakeholders as needed.
  • Coordinate with project managers to verify system performance against design requirements during commissioning.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer-Aided Design, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in CAD support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and related tools.
  • Experience in mentoring and managing CAD technicians.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering and architectural drawings.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
