CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for a Cyber Defense Posture Evaluation Specialist to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina. We offer a sign on bonus and relocation assistance for this position.
Shaw AFB is conveniently located. A 2-hour drive to the north gets you to Charlotte, NC, to the east is Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, SC is to the south. You’ll have access to big city excitement, a quiet beach walk or small town Southern hospitality.

More About the Role
- Apply system security engineering principles to provide realistic Network Health validations to enhance the security posture.
- Execute and assist in shaping policy in line with Risk Management Framework (RMF) regulations. Adhere to physical security, information security and information assurance policies under Cyber Readiness-365 engineering procedures and processes.
- Coordinate and track Information Assurance Vulnerabilities Alerts (IAVAs). Review and report compliance and develop Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAMs) when needed.
- Support auditing for mission-based enclaves and systems and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), technical controls and ongoing vulnerability management processes.
- Support Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) actions, to include mock audits, data collection and reporting, Score Card updates, POAM updates, assessment reports and assisting OEM Remediation Team.
- Evaluate network and enclave configurations against the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 Security Controls and formulate and execute auditing and incident response programs.
- Support RMF certification and accreditation process, maintenance, POAM development and upkeep, and authoring RMF Procedures.
- Track, document, and report all security related events.
- Coordinate evaluations with appropriate government section-heads.
- Produce written reports defining each inspection/evaluation to include, processes, procedures, findings, and recommendations.
- Provide on-call support after hours, on weekends and holidays.
- Deploy/travel to OCONUS locations in the USCENTCOM AOR to support operations, projects, and training as required (up to 25%).
- Travel to CONUS locations as required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
- Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ experience; OR 5 or more years’ of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience
- Possess experience and demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft server installation, roles, active directory, storage, performance management, and maintenance.
- Possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with managing Microsoft users and permissions, creating active directory domain services (AD DS) forests, designing server infrastructure, troubleshooting networks, and protecting network and user data.
- Firewall experience
- DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Sec or equivalent).
- Completion of additional Professional Certifications.
- Network+ or CCNA
- ITIL Foundation within 60 days of your start date
