Job Description:

Assumes responsibility for performing and guiding approved self-initiated quality activities leading to innovative applications and extensions of existing and new quality programs of importance to a division. Usually reports to a quality supervisor or manager, or senior technical individual.

As a Quality Systems Project Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
•    Leading programs with our largest global customers with a focus on the APAC region. 
•    Leading global cross-functional team internal & external customer meeting to align and ensure customer quality and timing expectations with 3M capabilities! 
•    Willingness to be go-to person for all questions from an initial stage of sampling through start of production during each APQP Project (customer and 3M internal)
•    Ensuring Product Lifecycle Management Standards according IATF 16949-requirements and align this with customer and 3M expectations 
•    Enabling improvement of the Management System through auditing to ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and VDA6.3 to ensure conformance to customer expectations
•    Managing complaints in 3M Customer Issue Resolution (CIR/CFR) system(s) within product responsibility area

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Statistics or related discipline from an accredited institution
•    Minimum 5 years of experience working or interning in a Quality Engineering, Product Engineering and/or Manufacturing environment
•    Project Management experience.  Experience leading complex projects in front of customers.  
•    Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation); Professional working proficiency in Mandarin and English
•    Ability to read and question drawings and specs.  

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
•    Minimum 10 years of Quality Engineering, Product Engineering and/or Manufacturing environment
•    Experience leading cross-functional teams and/or projects
•    Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards, VDA 6.3 experience is a plus
•    Technical capability to update online, customer portals and meeting hosting
•    Translate and document feedback from other functions 
•    Ability to talk to customers about any issues that they bring up
•    Professional working proficiency in Japanese and Korean are a plus
