Business Operations Department
As a part of the Vantage Operations team, the Business Operations department is responsible for ensuring standards for operation performance, maintaining customer leases, producing monthly customer electricity bills, generating regular reports, and supporting Operational Effectiveness. The Business Operations department also works closely with all Vantage departments to ensure customer success from the construction process through daily operations and delivery activities.
The Business Operations Program Management team (OPM), a subset of the larger Business Operations Team, provides centralized management and support for all business operations-related programs. The OPM delivers high-impact initiatives that support standardization, reduce risk, and bolster scalability. Operating with a continuous improvement mindset, the team focuses on building processes and supporting impactful outcomes. The OPM's scope encompasses all business operations programs across the organization, with a targeted focus on North America Operations while emphasizing global operational alignment. Key areas of focus for OPM programs include risk reduction, process improvement, operational efficiency, cost reduction, staffing methodologies, implementation strategy, and other strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing business operations.
Position Overview
This role can be based in any of our US locations: Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; Phoenix, AZ; Santa Clara, CA; or Ashburn, VA.
The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to enhance operational efficiency within the business operations-focused OPM! This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and support the successful delivery of projects. The Business Analyst will collaborate with the Manager of Program Management to ensure that business objectives are met and drive continuous improvement in business analysis practices.
Essential Job Functions
Reporting and Dashboard Management:
Develop and manage a range of reports and dashboards to guide business operations, ensuring accuracy in data and driving up to date information.
Continuously evaluate business performance through detailed reports and dashboards, identifying data-driven insights to boost operational efficiency.
Requirements Gathering:
Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, understand their needs and expectations, and effectively handle their involvement.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand business needs.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
Process Analysis and Improvement:
Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and areas for improvement.
Develop process maps, flowcharts, and other visual representations of processes.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Lead small-scale projects focused on incremental enhancements to reporting, dashboards, requirements definition, and process improvement initiatives.
Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process documentation, and user guides.
Ensure all documentation is clear, accurate, and up-to-date.
Collaboration and Problem Solving:
Work closely with program managers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of business requirements with project objectives.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate requirements and solutions.
Proactively identify issues, develop solutions, and choose the best course of action.
Quality Assurance:
Review and validate deliverables to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards.
Implement feedback from stakeholders to improve documentation and processes.
Support and Training:
Provide support to project teams and stakeholders during the implementation of solutions.
Develop and deliver training materials and lead sessions to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.
Convey complex technical processes and information in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
Additional Duties:
Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, a related field or relevant technical experience.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in a business operations or program management environment.
Skills
Demonstrable experience in gathering and documenting business requirements.
Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint.
Experience with Smartsheet and PowerBI is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and software.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with multi-functional teams.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to keep information confidential and communicate sensitive information to appropriate teams.

Additional Details
Salary Range: $85,000—$95,000 + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
