The Manufacturing Technology & Solutions team enables a world-class manufacturing and supply chain organization by increasing visibility and efficiency across diverse systems and processes, and delivering predictive analytics and insights. The team supports Pfizer’s Core Manufacturing & Engineering Solutions, while enabling a secure, seamless flow of contextualized data from the device & control levels, all the way to the top of the Enterprise. Our goal is to create persona driven, connected experiences across our shop floors to predict and optimize operations, while providing intelligence, and real-time insights to operators. We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept Product Owner to lead the adoption, support, and continuous enhancement of the electronic On-the-Job Training (eOJT) solution across all EMEA manufacturing sites. This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation in training operations, ensuring GMP compliance, and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, scalable solutions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Associate, Smart Factory colleague’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Product Ownership & Strategy

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for the eOJT solution across EMEA sites.

  • Define and prioritize features and enhancements based on business needs, user feedback, and compliance requirements.

  • Lead the transition from paper-based to digital OJT processes, ensuring alignment with global rollout strategies and dependent systems (e.g., LMS, SAP).

Adoption & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Drive site-level adoption through product demo, training, communications, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between site teams, Smart Factory Technology, and global program leads.

  • Coordinate with site champions, trainers, and learning specialists to ensure successful onboarding and sustained usage.

Technical Oversight & Vendor Management

  • Collaborate with development teams to deliver new features (e.g., waiver workflows, trainer qualification logic, reporting enhancements).

  • Manage vendor relationships, including contract oversight, performance tracking, and release coordination.

  • Ensure integration with Pfizer’s LMS and analytics platforms, maintaining data integrity and audit readiness.

Release & Communication Management

  • Own the release calendar for eOJT versions (e.g., v3.0, v3.1), including feature rollout, change control documentation, and stakeholder communications.

  • Prepare and distribute release notes, demo materials, and training guides.

  • Coordinate go-live communications and post-deployment support across sites.

Operational Efficiency & Support

  • Monitor system performance and usage metrics to identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for end-user inquiries, providing timely and effective support.

  • Triage incoming support tickets, ensuring resolution through collaboration with technical teams or vendors.

  • Maintain a knowledge base and FAQs to support self-service and reduce recurring issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align with global and site-specific stakeholders including QA, IT, Learning & Development, and Manufacturing.

  • Facilitate requirement gathering sessions, workshops, PI planning, and retrospectives.

  • Ensure feedback loops are in place to continuously improve the solution and user experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Engineering or Technology based subjects(s) or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years related work experience.

  • Relevant domain experience in manufacturing and/or quality operations.

  • Experience in all stages of solution and application lifecycle from value analysis, business case development, and solution deployment through to value realization and system retirement is a significant advantage.

  • Ability to work across multiple concurrent activities and successfully adapt to changing priorities as required.

  • An understanding of system cGMP requirements and demonstrable knowledge of computer system design and maintenance lifecycle in cGMP environments.

  • Proven experience in product ownership or product management within a digital or manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with GMP-compliant systems, LMS platforms, and enterprise integration (e.g., SAP Success Factor, MES).

  • Experience with agile methodologies, backlog management, and release planning using project tracking tools (e.g. Jira).

  • Ability to translate business needs into product requirement documents and function requirement documents.

  • Experience writing epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Possesses an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a Global Solution environment focused on the build and deployment

  • Hands on experience in a manufacturing facility.

  • Prior experience with e-learning or training systems in a regulated industry.

  • Exposure to AI-powered training tools or agentic frameworks.

  • Experience supporting multi-site deployments and managing change at scale.
