Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our supply chain team. The Demand Planner will be responsible for creating accurate demand plans that improve revenue forecast accuracy, align inventory levels with demand fluctuations, and enhance profitability across various channels and products. This role is critical in ensuring that our inventory meets customer demand while maintaining fiscal responsibility throughout the supply chain.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, and collaboration with sales, marketing, and production teams. 

  • Analyze sales trends, seasonality, and promotional activities to create demand plans that reflect expected peaks and troughs in customer demand. 

  • Work closely with inventory management teams to ensure that inventory levels align with demand forecasts, minimizing excess stock and reducing stockouts. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production, to understand product lifecycle changes and their impact on demand. 

  • Monitor and report on demand forecast accuracy, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance forecast reliability. 

  • Support customer service targets by ensuring product availability aligns with demand while balancing the financial implications of inventory in the supply chain. 

  • Continuously refine demand planning processes, incorporating new data sources and methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency. 

  • Participate in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, providing input on demand forecasts and inventory strategies. 

  • Utilize demand planning software and tools to manage and analyze data, creating actionable insights that drive business decisions. 

 

Education and Skill Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field. 

  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a similar role within a fast-paced environment. 

  • FDM/C&G experience preferred but not required 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable insights. 

  • Proficiency in demand planning software and tools, with advanced Excel skills. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments. 

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 

  • Experience in the food and beverage industry is a plus. 

  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management best practices. 

 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Physical Requirements 

This is a full-time position and may require long hours and may require weekend and nights work per events. 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment. 

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. 

  • Light to moderate lifting is required. 

  • Ability to uphold the stress of traveling. 

  • Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate. 

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic). 

  • Ability to work in a confined area. 

  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
