SAP Service Manager: Driving Control and Quality in Complex IT Landscapes

Accenture partners with leading organizations – often multinational enterprises with complex SAP environments – leveraging solutions such as S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, C/4HANA, and the SAP Business Technology Platform. In these rapidly evolving and hybrid landscapes, the role of the SAP Service Manager is critical to ensure continuity, quality, and governance.

We are looking for an experienced SAP Service Manager who acts as the key link between business, IT, and external partners. You will oversee service delivery, manage change and release processes, and guide clients through their transformation towards future-ready SAP solutions.

Your Role

As a Service Manager, you are responsible for the coordination, quality, and optimization of SAP service delivery. You collaborate closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and suppliers to maintain a stable and reliable service while driving innovation.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing changes, releases, and incident processes in line with ITIL best practices.

  • Ensuring transparent communication with business and senior stakeholders.

  • Supporting projects and transitions using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Defining, monitoring, and improving service levels (SLAs) and KPIs.

  • Driving change management to ensure smooth adoption of new solutions.

  • Identifying improvement opportunities and translating them into concrete actions and roadmaps.

  • Acting as the central point of contact for internal teams and external vendors.

Your Team

Within our Technology group, you will work alongside an international team of SAP experts, architects, and project managers. You will act as the bridge between technology and business, focusing both on operational excellence and strategic direction.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with at least 5 years of experience in Service Management or Delivery Management, ideally in SAP environments.

  • Proven expertise with ITIL processes, Agile/Scrum practices, and change & release management.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP landscapes (e.g., S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SuccessFactors, or SAP cloud solutions).

  • Experience in incident, problem, and escalation management, ensuring business continuity.

  • Ability to coordinate and manage multi-vendor environments and third-party providers.

  • Familiarity with ticketing and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, or equivalent).

  • Understanding of compliance, audit, and security requirements within IT landscapes.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at different levels (from business users to senior executives).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive mindset.

  • Experience with budget and financial management related to IT services is a plus.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

  • Fluency in Dutch (must-have) and English (must-have).
