Part-time (80%), fixed-term positions for up to 12 months
Base salary will be in the range $113,377 - $127,112 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 8) + an additional regional Market Loading + access to local accommodation
Two positions available, located at our rural dental clinics in Dalby and St George
We have two roles available for AHPRA Registered Supervising Dentists to support the provision of dental services to the communities of Dalby and St George. These satellite clinics are attached to the Oral Health Centre in Brisbane and provide residents of Dalby, St George, and the wider Western Downs region with dental care.
In this role, you will demonstrate strong communication skills, value patient-centred care, and be passionate about providing dental care to high-risk populations and training the next generation of general dentists.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing a consultative and advanced level of dental care, effective assessment of patients, and effective supervision, mentorship, guidance and assessment of students.
Leading orientations for new dental staff and student cohorts and working with relevant University stakeholders to ensure clinical placement aligns with course requirements.
Adhering to School guidelines around infection control, chemical management, radiation safety, and WHS requirements.

Current AHPRA registration as a Dental Practitioner (division general dentist)
At least 2 years’ experience working as a General Dentist or Dental Specialist
Experience of teaching and/or assessing skills
Proficiency in digital record keeping and dental software
Current intra-oral and extra-oral radiation licencing (where appropriate)
Demonstrated high level of clinical competence in the provision of general dental services and complex oral health problems
Experience or ability to work collaboratively within an education or training environment
High-level interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
Ability to exercise judgment and work independently within a given policy framework, applying innovative solutions within legislative boundaries
Exemplary standards of personal integrity and the ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive matters when dealing with students and patients
Excellent organisational, time and workload management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines and required outcomes
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including the right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, AHPRA registration, and mandatory immunisations.
