Summary of Role:

The university recruiting team at GlobalFoundries is seeking an Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the team! In this dynamic role, you will be a brand ambassador and the face of GF while recruiting diverse and exceptional college students to fill internships and entry level roles as well as drive engagement with GF’s early talent hires. The successful candidate for this role will be a self-starter, have a creative and continuous improvement mindset, and have the ability to manage various projects.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, including faculty, administrators, students and school organizations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for educational institutions and be the liaison between the institution and the business as well as setting and driving results through college partnerships.
  • Plan and support annual internship programming onsite at our Essex Junction, VT location.
  • Maintain a constant and steady focus on the local marketplace and disseminate local market intelligence to key client groups.
  • Implement sourcing strategies to identify talented candidates, paying particular attention to diversity initiatives.
  • Utilize the applicant tracking system to capture all recruiting and hiring activity.
  • Manage candidates throughout the recruiting lifecycle and maintain records in applicant tracking/recruitment system.
  • Collaborate across the organization and community, supporting early talent recruitment events and programming, and strategic university and community outreach initiatives.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Psychology, Marketing, Communications or related field from an accredited degree program.
  • Experience – Minimum of 1 year experience in Recruiting, Human Resources, Program Management, Marketing, or relevant area.
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and/or the ability to quickly adapt to different platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, PPT, Word).
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal).
  • Ability to work onsite in Essex Junction, VT.
  • Travel - Up to 30%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills.
  • Track record of identifying opportunities for improvement and driving best practices.
  • Experience working cross functionally with stakeholders in multiple departments with varying agendas.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Expected Salary Range

$46,100.00 - $82,300.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
