Auto Salter Operator
Job Summary:
Responsible for the all aspects of the Auto Salting process, salt hopper operation and barrel filling process from fill to draw and CIP. Maintain a safe work environment and meet all established quality standards.
Pay: $25.86/hr. + $1/hr. Shift Differential
Hours: 4:45pm - 5:15am - 2-2-3 Rotation
Sign on Bonus: $1500 - $250 paid after 30 days of employment. $500 paid after 6 months of employment. $750 paid after 12 months of employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performance of job duties may include any one or more operator roles as needed on the assigned team/shift. This position will cross train as a Barrel handling operator.
- Able to perform startup (including HACCP documentation), operation, shutdown and CIP of the auto salter.
- Insure proper recipes, ingredient amounts, and parameters are in place for auto salter process.
- CIP enzyme applicator between cheese styles.
- Monitor enzyme levels topically applicated by ensuring proper recipes, and ingredients are used as per number of vats being produced; this responsibility is to support LOL Halal status.
- Coordinate with the vat deck operator and communicate with DMC operators, TQ Leaders and Whey department to insure all process procedures are in place for Italian and Cheddar production as they vary.
- Generate accurate, complete make records and chart documentation.
- Follow all sanitation and quality SOP’s to ensure all equipment is clean and ready for production.
- Performs and maintains metal detector tests
- Insures clean carriers, extenders, press plates, and rings are used in the process
- LEAN Manufacturing – Contribute to a continuous improvement environment by participating in activities to include line side problem solving.
- Participate in 5S program to contribute to a safe and organized work environment.
- Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all department paperwork
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP guidelines and LQMS requirements
- Actively contribute to a behavioral based safety culture by completing a minimum of one behavioral observation (BOS) per month.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of machine operations and overall production process
- Other duties as assigned by Shift Lead or Shift Supervisor
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Prior high speed, high tech manufacturing experience
