About the Role

Responsible for providing actuarial and portfolio management support for employee benefit and individual voluntary solution (IVS) businesses across the region.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly profitability review of Corporate Solution (CS) business in the region. 
  • Prepare meeting materials to facilitate management in-depth understanding on CS profitability trend and KPI achievement. 
  • Design and enhance the portfolio management tools and infrastructure to timely monitor financial performance and risk drivers of LBU and AIA Regional Solution’s CS portfolio. 
  • Coordinate with Group Finance to validate and reconcile Group Medical (GM) claims trend and financials reported under different management reports to ensure one source of truth. 
  • Assist in performing pricing and risk assessment of Group Insurance’s contracts, e.g. case underwriting, experience studies, repricing plan, and product development, etc.
  • Support the review of CS underwriting guidelines/standards.  Promote best practice sharing across LBUs to drive CS overall performance. 
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties assigned by senior team members to support LBUs to grow the CS businesses sustainably.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Statistics, or relevant subject.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.  Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Paying attention to details.
  • Good team player with strong communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team setting, under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS office and database skills.  Knowledge of Python, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) or other computer programming language is an advantage.
