Essential Functions

Oversee daily operations and maintenance of building facilities and grounds. Manage janitorial and groundskeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and upkeep. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for facilities. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Coordinate with external vendors for maintenance services and supplies. Manage the facilities budget Implement sustainability initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce waste. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs. Handle facility-related issues promptly and effectively.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to manage capital projects, budgets and control costs. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements. Strong project management abilities. Vendor management and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered. Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or a similar role. Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong leadership and team management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software.
