The IT Support Specialist must have a fundamental and broad knowledge of modern operating systems, hardware, and networks. They will be responsible for managing, and/or supporting the local users, network and local server/storage infrastructure and lab environment. Daily tasks may include installing, upgrading and monitoring software/hardware and troubleshooting end-user incidents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Act as hands-on resource to define technical requirements and implement cost-effective, scalable solutions
  • Establish trusted partnerships with peers and all colleagues throughout the enterprise
  • Work with stakeholders to identify business needs and prioritize the critical few.
  • Effectively balance break/fix work and project work to help drive key business objectives
  • Encourage open and effective two-way communication 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Provide on-site support for hardware and software systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory administration, including group policy, sites, DNS, DHCP, Google Workspace, Office 365, Printers
  • Intermediate knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with MDM tools and concepts Airwatch, Apple Business Manager, etc
  • Demonstrated skill in structured troubleshooting and complex issue resolution 
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Broad experience and knowledge of MacOS and Windows operating systems
  • Asset, procurement and vendor management
  • Audio/Visual device setup and management a plus

Education/Certification: 

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field or 5+ years in related experience 
  • Certifications in one or more of the following are preferred: Microsoft, Google, ITIL, A+/Network+

Experience: 

  • 3+ years of related work experience in enterprise architecture / technical operations and support
  • 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and heavily matrixed organizations
