We are looking for a passionate, business-savvy, talented Senior Counsel, Employment to join our Legal Team in Israel. In this unique role you will focus on Israel, EMEA and APAC employment-related matters and advise internal stakeholders and our HR team on a wide range of employment issues, including hiring practices, performance management, termination processes, and employment law compliance. We are looking for someone who is well versed in Israel employment laws, and has some knowledge of employment laws in other jurisdictions (mainly France, UK, Germany and Spain) and can provide legal advice and practical solutions. This position is based in our Tel Aviv and Netanya offices.

As a Sr. Legal Counsel, Employment in JFrog you will…
  • Provide substantive area expertise on a broad range of employment issues in Israel, EMEA and APAC, including hiring, recruiting, hearings and termination processes, wage and hour, diversity, leave and disability accommodation, employee benefits, discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, and workplace safety and security.
  • Support and collaborate with the EMEA and APAC HR team by handling compliance and employee issues, internal investigations, audits, pre-dispute conflicts and other employment matters.
  • Draft and review employment-related contracts, such as employment agreements, termination agreements, etc.
  • Provide legal guidance on the development and update of company policies, handbooks, training, and procedures in compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Review and respond to internal claims, demand letters, audits, and other employment-related inquiries or litigation matters.
  • Oversee and work with a consortium of external employment counsels in various jurisdictions on ongoing HR issues.
  • Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations to advise the company proactively.
To be a Sr. Legal Counsel, Employment in JFrog you need...
  • Law degree from an accredited law school (LLB); Admitted to practice law in Israel, at minimum.
  • Current Israel bar membership.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Israel employment laws and regulations, as well as some knowledge and understanding of employment laws in other jurisdictions (preferably, EMEA).
  • At least 6 years of substantive employment law experience preferably with an in-house legal department, and some experience as an employment lawyer in a first-tier law firm.
  • Excellent communication skills and business judgement.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make discretionary decisions with confidence and minimal guidance.
  • High integrity and professionalism.
  • Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets preferred.
