Join our growing Accounting & Finance team at PrizePicks. The position will report to the Accounting Senior Manager, and the location is in Atlanta, GA
What you’ll do:
- Prepare recurring & nonrecurring journal entries
- Prepare, modify, and improve upon the company’s suite of balance sheet reconciliations and related support
- Review deferred expense and income items, e.g. prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules and prepare related balance sheet reconciliations
- Review AP Aging reconciliation, monitor unpaid and missing items
- Assist with requests from external accountants, e.g. auditors and tax preparers
- Recommend quick win process/procedural changes and controls with high cost-benefit
- Function as a first responder regarding opportunities for improvement and identification of risk areas
- Assist in special projects as needed
What you have:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in technology (preferably in e-commerce, software, internet gaming and/or public accounting)
- Team player with infectious “can do” attitude
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or another business discipline
- If degree is not in accounting, progress toward the CPA designation is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, experience in data rich business intelligence environments
- Wide knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with a mid-market ERP such as NetSuite or Sage Intacct a plus, as well as experience with migration from Quickbooks to a mid-market ERP
