Patient Registrar – Orthopedic Surgery

As a Patient Registrar, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting patients as they arrive, helping them schedule appointments and procedures with care and efficiency. You’ll collect and verify essential demographic, insurance, and authorization information to ensure accurate and timely data entry that supports smooth coordination of care. Throughout the patient journey, you will serve as a calm and reassuring presence, offering clear communication and compassionate support to help patients feel informed and at ease.

This is a Monday–Friday day shift position based at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of clerical or administrative experience
• Strong computer proficiency
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills

Preferred Criteria:

• Some college coursework completed
• Knowledge of health insurance processes and clinical coding
• Bilingual in Spanish
