Student Financial Services works with students to produce student bills, offer financial aid, and handles many types of changes to the student account overall. We are seeking temporary staff members for the summer months to assist with increased in-person inquiries, calls, emails, and mail volume. The successful candidates will also assist during the June Orientation weeks, as needed. This position would sit at our front desk and be the first staff member that students and their families encounter. Must present nicely and be able to handle multiple tasks at once.
Duties/Responsibilities
Walk-in inquiries (20%)
Assist students and families with their questions about summer and upcoming fall charges. Walk-in volume increases during June Orientation sessions. Must present nicely as front-facing position in the office.
Phones (50%)
Direct callers as needed. Answer questions on a wide range of topics for Student Accounts and Financial Aid.
Posting payments (20%)
Post mailed check payments, indicating the check type in the transaction. Attention to detail is a must.
Take E-Check payments over the phone.
Other Duties as Assigned (10%)
Other duties may include scanning/indexing paperwork to student accounts, assisting with coordination with other offices (Admissions, Registrar, New Student & Family Programs, etc.), and readying the office environment for the upcoming fall semester.

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
Some prior experience in a Student Accounts/Financial Aid office.
High school degree
