Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a dedicated and innovative .Net Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in designing, developing, and supporting advanced risk management systems that underpin our financial decision-making processes. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of next-generation risk platforms, leveraging emerging technologies to optimize investment and risk management strategies. Your work will directly impact the firm’s ability to perform intraday risk analysis, scenario modeling, and pricing, ensuring robust and scalable risk solutions aligned with strategic business objectives.
Software Requirements
- Required: Proficiency in Python ecosystem (version 3.7+), with practical experience in big data and cloud environments.
- Required: Experience with microservices architecture using .NET (C#), including developing and deploying services.
- Preferred: Experience with DataBricks platform for data engineering and analytics.
- Preferred: Familiarity with QuantLib for quantitative pricing library development.
- Required: Knowledge of distributed grid computing technologies for large-scale data processing.
- Preferred: Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and API development.
- Required: Working knowledge of risk analytics tools and financial products such as equities, derivatives, and fixed income assets.
Overall Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain in-house risk management systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
- Build scalable data pipelines leveraging big data and cloud technologies to support risk analytics.
- Develop and enhance a proprietary quantitative risk engine capable of running complex pricing models and risk scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with risk management, data strategy teams, and front-office personnel to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Provide Level 2 support for nightly production risk batches, ensuring operational stability and performance.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging technologies to continuously improve risk systems' capabilities.

- Programming Languages:
- Required: Python (3.7+), C# (.NET framework)
- Preferred: Additional scripting or programming skills in Java or Scala.
- Databases/Data Management:
- Experience with big data tools and ecosystems, such as DataBricks, Spark, or Hadoop.

Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in developing pricing or risk software within banking or asset management firms.

- Industry experience in financial markets, including derivatives, equities, or fixed income, is preferred.
- Alternative pathways include experience in quantitative finance, data engineering, or cloud-based system development relevant to risk management.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Develop and refine risk calculation models and scenarios based on evolving business needs.
- Implement new features and optimize existing risk systems for performance and scalability.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and review meetings with cross-functional teams.
- Monitor production risk batches, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with support teams.
- Liaise with risk, data, and front-office teams to gather requirements and demonstrate solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent are a plus.
