We are a small, hardworking, and accomplished team of specialists, who support the development and manufacturing of spaceflight vehicles. We are seeking a proactive individual with excellent administrative and organizational skills that can thrive in a fast-paced environment supporting the Warehouse Operations Manager. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead C shift kitting teams, shipping, and receiving teams. Working shift will be Friday-Monday.
  • Drive the warehouse operations team to meet company leadership and business goals
  •  Relentlessly identify and implement process improvement opportunities that target ease of process, density of product, and the reduction of requirements
  • Maintain cycle count accuracy levels within internal and external goals while keeping the team on pace to annual count schedules
  • Manage an hourly workforce of 15-20 while assessing employee performance, providing positive/constructive feedback, facilitating conflict resolution, and addressing repeat issues with corrective actions
  • Conduct performance reviews and establish career paths for progression
  • Perform root cause analysis on inventory variances and escapes
  •  Ensure warehouse activities meet or exceed regulatory requirements and support manufacturing operations
  • Maintain and verify the internal procedures that yield fully traceable material and documentation in accordance with company process
  • Manage inventory levels in coordination with Excess and Obsolete policy
  • Recommend and drive initiative to dispose of aged or abandoned storage items
  • Oversee the compliance of team trainings and certifications required for duties
  •  Resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable and Procurement teams
  • Maintain service level agreements for warehouse related processes across the manufacturing complex
  • Position is located in Merritt Island, FL

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years materials management / supply chain experience or 4+ years in a related field
  • A demeanor towards extraordinary quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
  • Social skills within a highly technical environment.
  • Analytical skills to define problems, collect appropriate and relevant data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions from captured information.
  • Ability to derive inventory requirements from drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BoM).
  • Ability to safely use a forklift and perform elevated work.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

Desired:

  • Inventory management experience in the aerospace or medical industry.
  • Exposure to proper handling and storage of energetic systems, hazardous waste materials, raw metals, and explosives.

Paid Time Off:  Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
